Welcome to Our Early Year Village and Reception
Welcome to the Churchwood Primary Academy Eearly Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Village.
In the village we believe ‘Everyone can…’ and our team provide high quality care and learning for children aged 2-5 years old.
We have high expectations of all children. We create exciting learning opportunities through play-based learning and encourage co-operation, independence and strong relationships in our safe and enabling learning environment inside and outside.
We have developed a free-flow approach to learning across the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the children mix in the outdoor areas to create a stimulating and challenging place for individual development.
"Excellent teaching during early years, combined with high-quality care for children’s personal and social needs, ensures that children make very substantial progress from their starting points"
Ofsted, 2017
Our partnership begins with a home visit to meet you and your child to get to know each other and then we plan rich learning experiences through adult-led and structured play activities based around the children’s interests and our core books and nursery rhymes.
We always welcome visits to our setting, please contact the school office for any further information on 01424 852326 or email to office@churchwoodprimaryacademy.org.uk
